Japan To Ease Visa Rules Ahead Of 2020 Olympics

In 2014 Japan said it would relax visa rules for tourists from Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam, with Indonesian e-passport holders exempted from visas, as part of a plan to double foreign visitors before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Japanese foreign ministry announced the measures.
