The last four or five years have seen lot of local Japanese businesses enthusiastically embracing the concept of halal in their offerings to the Muslim visitors as well as the local Muslims living in the country. The type of industries which have, so far, benefited from the concept include the following.
- Restaurants
- Hotels
- Food Stuff Makers
However, there are still untapped markets not yet touched by the Japanese companies. Some of the businesses which could benefit by adapting their services to suit to Muslim tourists and users could be as follows.
- Rental car companies
- Hospitals
- Travel agents
- Airlines
- Attractions
- Museums
- Airports
- Shopping Malls
- Amusement Parks
- Ryokan
- Guest Houses
- Souvenir Shops
However, the problem so far, is that not many businesses in japan have yet fully embraced the idea of halal, thus do not know the full potential of what the global halal market could bring to them in the form of increased profits, easy entry to new local and international markets and the like.
