Japan starts giving cash to its residents for coronavirus relief. However, it started the process for small towns mostly located in Hokkaido on Thursday (yesterday). The handouts of 100,000 yen per person may begin later in big cities because of the amount of paperwork, including processing the applications.
We ask Muslims living in Japan to wait for a few more days to get the payment. According to the ward office near our company in Tokyo, they will start giving detailed information about the cash payments from May 7 next week. You will receive the necessary documents from the local ward office in your post. You will have to fill out the application form for each and every person in your household. You may contact the nearby ward office to know the procedures as advised in an earlier post.
