Free Wifi Service Available At All Stations On Yamanote Line

Tokyo – Japan Railway East Comapny (JR East ) has announced recently that they are going to provide free wifi service available to all foreiegn visitors at all stations on Yamanote Line network. Visitors will be able to see the Japan Railway Free Wifi logo mark prominently displayed near the ticket gates at all these stations.

The sevice is available around the access points installed near the ticket gates at each station on the famous Yamanote Line. This line covers many of the major tourist areas including Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinagawa, Tokyo, Akihabara, Ueno among others.

Yamanote Line is a reailway loop line in Tokyo being operated by East Japan Railway Company. It is one of the busiest and most important train lines in the city covering many of the major train stations in the city.

The JR East FREE Wi-Fi logo will be posted along with the common (Japan. Free WiFi) logo to indicate spots where overseas travelers can use the free public wireless LAN network, with clear directions on how to use the service.

The logo to the left is posted in the locations where the JR East Free Wifi service is available. With the introduction of this service, visitors will be able to find their required information about nearby restaurants, tourist attractions, major urban centers, and, other locations etc.
