Kansai International Airport is one of the most modern airport near the metropolitan cities of Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto which is built on an artificial island. It is the first Muslim-friendly airport with a prayer room and halal restaurants catering to the Muslim visitors to Japan.
Most of the Muslim visitors to this airport are from South-East countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia. There are some non-stop flights available from these countries to the airport.
Prayer Rooms
In all, there are three prayer rooms at the airport. One is in the general area located behind Uniqlo shop on the 3rd floor. It is next to the Korean Air Lounge. The two others are located at the International departure gate area near gate 16 and Gate 26 respectively. All these prayer rooms are separated by gender. They have also affixed a place for making ablution (Wudu). These prayer rooms are open 24 hours a day for visitors and passengers.
Halal Restaurants

In all, it has three Halal-certified restaurants along with many halal-friendly ones as well.
