Although, I have been living in Japan for the last 20+ years, I had not got a chance to visit the beautiful city of Nara until about two months ago. Now, I am glad I did visit the wonderful city. It is a lovely place. You can easily get lost in the beautiful jungle and the natural scenery it offers so abundantly in and out of the city. Surprisingly, it is also a Muslim, or Halal friendly city in many respects. You can find quite a few restaurants and some hotels which offer hal;al friendly services to the tourists visiting this lovely city of Nara.
The best way to enjoy and discover the beauties of the amazing city is to rent a car and then go around. You may get lost at some places as there are some remote places in the prefecture which look kind of end of the world to a casual traveler as the roads leading to houses and small villages in these far-off places in the prefecture suddenly end up at the mouth of thick forests.
This is, in no way, more evident than in Uda city near Nara which offers spectacular scenery scattered all over the city.
We have heard the news that there are some hotels and restaurant which offer Muslim or halal friendly services to their Muslim guests. Please stay tuned to get more information about halal or Muslim friendly hotels and restaurants in the prefecture as confirm the status of these hotels and restaurants and even halal food shops about their halal readiness for the Muslim tourists visiting the area. Halal food shops are the easiest to confirm.
Insha Allah, in the coming days, we will try to populate all the available information on halal friendly hotels, restaurants and even halal food shops available in the country.
