This article was first published for Ramadan 2020, and its timetable no longer applies. Ramadan 2027 is projected to begin on Monday, 8 February 2027, and Eid al-Fitr is forecast for Wednesday, 10 March 2027. Both dates are astronomical projections. The start of Ramadan depends on the sighting of the new moon on the evening of 7 February, and Eid can move by a day depending on whether Ramadan lasts 29 or 30 days.
