TOKYO —Leading private railway and diversified business operator Tokyu Corp will hold a “VISIT SHIBUYA BUS – SUMMER PROMOTION” in collaboration with TOKYO FM and a third company from July 1 to Aug 31.
According to a survey by the Japan Tourism Agency, the uppermost inconvenience for foreign travelers are “lack of free WiFi,” “communication” and “difficulty figuring out public transportation routes to destinations.” In preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, Tokyu Corporation is engaged in a variety of endeavors to assist inbound visitors. In an effort to meet the above-mentioned visitor needs, they have joined with TOKYO FM and another company to undertake “VISIT SHIBUYA BUS – SUMMER PROMOTION.”
The promotion includes operation of the tour bus for VISIT SHIBUYA BUS complete with an English audio tour and Wi-Fi, all free of charge. In addition to shuttling visitors to popular tourism locales such as Omotesando and Roppongi, the promotion assists foreign tourists wandering about the city by distributing walking maps and providing free Wi-Fi service while they are riding the bus. Tokyu has also created a Shibuya PR Book to introduce the appeal of the Shibuya area.
