Tokyo Big Sight Sets Up A Prayer Room For Muslim Visitors

Tokyo – Tokyo International Exhibition nicknamed Tokyo Big Sight recently announced that they had set up a dedicated prayer room in their premises for their Muslim visitors.  Tokyo Big Sight, being the largest convention center in Japan, host hundreds of trade shows, events, conferences and seminars etc. annually on their premises.  Visitors from all parts of Japan and international visitors, including large number of Muslims participate in these trade shows and confereneces either exihibit their products or simply attend these trade shows.

The company managing Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Center announvced that they had reserved a separate room as a prayer room in their building and termed it as prayer room. This is the first-ever exihibition hall in Japan to provide a dedicated prayer room and a purifying room for Wudu or abolution purposes inside their complex.

They decided to do so due to the growing demands from Muslim visitors from around the world who visit the facility almost every single week.

The company website stated the below-mentioned statement regarding the opening and utilization of the dedicated prayer facility for Muslim visitors.

“The Visitor & Business Center has a prayer room available to visitors. It can be used by anyone free-of-charge between 9:00 and 18:00.  Please let a Business Center staff member know before using.”
