Welcome Japan Support (WJS), a support company offering calligraphy and Japanese tea ceremony to foreign travelers to Ginza, Tokyo has started offering prayer room facilities to its Muslim visitors to their Ginza shop.
Ginza, being one of the most popular and upscale shopping, dinning, fashion and entertainment districts not only in Japan but also in the world over attracts thousands of visitors from all parts of the world every single day.
To the dismay of Muslim visitors to the most upmarket district in the town, there had been no place to pray in the area before WJS dedicated some space to be used as a prayer room for Muslims visitors.
This is all a good news for Muslim travelers to the area. However, there is a catch. So far, we have not been able to verify clearly whether WJS Ginza serves Halal Japanese dishes or not. Please do confirm it with the staff before ordering any thing to eat and/or drink in the shop.
Currently, WJS Ginza offers the following services to its customers
- Calligraphy
- Japanese tea ceremony
- Kimono wearing both for men and women
- Karate
- Hand-rolled sushi
- wi-fi rental and —
- Money exchange
- Accessory shop (offering various food and other visitor related items).
As mentioned earlier you may want to confirm before placing an order for any thing to eat and drink as the items may have been contaminated with alcohol or some other haram item for bidden for us, the Muslims.
But, apart from that, the place provides a good relaxing environment for Muslim visitors to the area.
